We learned:

1. Mayor Keller and Parks/Recreation Chief Dave Simon support building the indoor Olympic Pool FIRST. But we still need $17m.
2. The Mayor and Chief appeared to be in favor of waiting, and not building outdoor pool first. That would give us more time to help raise the additional money.
3. Chief Simon shared three (3) ways to help raise more money: Upcoming GO bond election; Capital outlay from state lawmakers who go into special session next month; Contributions from private interests.

If Mayor Keller and Recreation Chief Simon hear and see US taking next steps to help raise money, it MAY encourage them to wait.

We need to call a general meeting of our groups to share what we learned, get to work, and help raise that money.
