Currently across the uk mental health in children has risen drastically. CAMHS need hospitals building for children (especially in Wigan district) to help them recover from eating disorders. At present there are very few inpatient facilities to treat these children appropriately according to their individual deterioration. Once waiting in children’s A & E department for as long as 20 hours, it is difficult to have the children admitted before they reach a Tier 4 , this is because there are simply not enough or no mental health hospitals or appropriate physicians available in one area for children suffering to receive correct treatment in the early stages. Children’s wards in local hospitals  are not the correct environment. Tier 3 children are slipping into physical health problems and need admission for weak heart ( bradycardia) dangerously low body temperature at risk of hypothermia and organ functions being delayed, hair loss , depression , dehydration and much more.These children are as young as 5 years old . Galaxy house in greater Manchester and sunflower house at Alderney hospital( Liverpool )have 12 beds. Children suffering in Wigan district do not have these early intervention inpatient hospital facilities.Please could you sign this petition to help have these special hospitals built, especially at Wigan with enough beds and correct physicians and facilities to help these children recover ? These children are at high risk of self harm and need appropriate mental health medical care including psychiatric care as soon as their physical health deteriorates, preventing organ failure and death.
