Tamborine Mountain is home to a vibrant and growing community of young families but it’s missing something essential: a safe, inclusive playground (with toilets!) where children of all ages and abilities can play, explore, and thrive.

We’re calling for the development of a purpose-built community playground that includes:

• Safe play areas for different age groups from toddlers to teens
• An all-abilities design that welcomes every child
• Toilets and parent-friendly facilities, covered spaces for picnics and birthday parties, etc.
• A dedicated bike/scooter track so kids can ride away from local roads

Right now, families are travelling off the mountain just to find suitable places for their kids to ride and play safely and it’s about time the mountain got something like this up here.

A new playground would be more than just swings and slides - it would be a hub for connection, activity, and community. It would give families a much needed space to spend quality time outdoors, right here on the mountain.

We believe Tamborine Mountain deserves a space where all children can play, learn, and grow together.
