I’m starting this petition because where I live, there’s no ice rink nearby, and for people like me who love skating or want to get into hockey, it makes things really hard. Ice sports aren’t just fun—they keep people active, give us something positive to focus on, and help build confidence and discipline.

Right now, if we want to practice or even just skate for fun, we have to drive pretty far, which isn’t always possible for everyone. That means a lot of kids and teens miss out on opportunities they could really enjoy or even take seriously.

Building a local ice rink would give our community a safe and fun place to hang out, stay active, and try something new. It could also bring people together, create local teams, and even open up opportunities for lessons, leagues, and events.
