They slapped a sign that says "dog park" on the fence around the decrepit tennis courts at Kit Carson Park which features amenities: broken asphalt surface, a chain link fence my dogs can get out of in four different places, zero water, no shade. 

I'm told this was the final "compromise" between a couple yokel city council members a few years ago but I do not care about small town power move flexes. dogs need socialization and exercise in a safe place in order to be healthy.
