🚨VERY IMPORTANT COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING UPDATE - PLEASE READ🚨

This morning, we received an important communication from the county regarding the agendas of the upcoming BOCC meetings. Please share this information with anyone you know who is planning to attend.

#1:  MEETING TONIGHT — SEPTEMBER 10 AT 6 P.M.

Tonight is a BUDGET meeting. Your comments must be about the county budget.

You can ask questions about money for:
*   More PRC employees
*   Animal care
*   New equipment
*   Work to find and plan a site for a new shelter

You must connect your concerns to money or work in the county budget.

If you only want to talk about the unacceptable conditions at the PRC, tonight is not the best meeting. You may be told that you are off topic.

#2: MEETING SEPTEMBER 16 AT 9 A.M.

This is the better meeting for most people.

You can speak about: 
*   The unacceptable shelter conditions
*   Lack of air conditioning and heat
*   Kennel flooding during rain storms 
*   The too small and ill-equipped laundry area 
*   Lack of space, animal overcrowding and high noise levels
*   The need for an improved and expanded veterinary clinic
*   The impact of the unacceptable shelter conditions on the animals, staff and people looking to adopt
*   The frequent operation over intended capacity
*   The petition
*   The need for a NEW shelter to replace the current, antiquated facility
*   Where the NEW shelter should go
*   Why the County needs to act now

VERY SIMPLE: 

TONIGHT = TALK ABOUT THE BUDGET.

SEPTEMBER 16 = TALK ABOUT THE PRC AND WHY IT NEEDS TO CHANGE.

Anyone may attend tonight and show support, even if they do not speak.

If you want to speak on September 16, you must register:

Online registration opens Monday, September 14 at 9 a.m. and closes Wednesday, September 16 at 9 a.m.

You may also register in person at County Center between 8:30 and 9 a.m. on September 16.
