Petition Update 9/7/26

FYI: After an extensive review of county records, the petition was updated today to reflect important information contained in the county’s adopted Capital Improvement Program and subsequent county statements. The update is in the body of the petition, so please read it!

Please consider attending one or both of the Hillsborough County BOCC budget meetings being held in downtown Tampa! 

When:  Thursday, 9/10/2026 and 9/24/2026 at 6:00 pm
Where: The Frederick B. Karl County Center at 601 East Kennedy Blvd, 2nd floor Boardroom

A very limited number of Build a New Shelter tee shirts will be available on a first come - first served basis, so we are asking attendees to wear any tee shirt with a cat and/or dog graphic so that the petition supporters can be easily identified.
