Build a new disc golf course in City of Pensacola.

The Issue

Most people I know need to spend more time outside and less time looking at screens.  I am a 13 year old disc golf enthusiast that wants better access to the healthy and fun outdoor sport of disc golf for my whole community.

This low cost sport is well supported and represented by decades old volunteer groups and local businesses, but Pensacola only has one 9-hole disc golf course to play.  Gulf Breeze, Milton, Foley, and Mobile each have many active 18-hole disc golf courses, so the demand is clearly out there.

Please show your support for our kids and families by requesting that more disc golf courses be installed by the City of Pensacola through the Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department.  Below is a list of parks that appear to be good candidates to host a disc golf facility.

  • 18-hole potential locations:  Hollice T. Williams Park, Bay Bluffs Preserve, Baars Park
  • 9-hole potential locations: Belvedere Park, Eastgate Park,
  • Putting course potential locations: Pintado Park, Bayview Park, Roger Scott Athletic Complex

The Pensacola disc golf community and Emerald Coast Disc Golf Club are home to touring disc golf professionals and dedicated amateurs with the knowledge and experience to help install quality courses beginners and experts alike.  They are ready to help make this effort a success.

Please help us communicate to our city leaders how important disc golf can be in giving the City of Pensacola visitors and residents another recreation option that is great for the mind, body, and community.
