Build a FIA Approved F1 Track in Romania

Build a FIA Approved F1 Track in Romania
The Issue
I’m 15 years old, and for as long as I can remember, Formula 1 has been more than just a sport to me—it’s been a passion, a dream, a part of who I am. I watch every race. I follow every team. I imagine what it would feel like to hear the sound of the engines live, right here at home in Romania. But every time I look around, there’s something missing: we don’t have an FIA-approved track, we do have eyes on us, we absolutely do. But the government wouldn't do anything. It's time to change this!
That absence isn’t just disappointing—it’s a missed opportunity for an entire generation of fans like me. Romania is right in the heart of Eastern Europe. We border Bulgaria, Serbia, Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, and so many more. We’re surrounded by countries that would travel here, fans who would fill grandstands, energy that would bring life to every corner of a brand-new circuit. And yet... there’s nothing here to welcome them.
Imagine the difference one decision could make.
A racetrack, built just outside Bucharest, near Otopeni Airport—a perfect location, easy to reach for international teams and fans. And now, with the M6 subway line under development, which will connect Henri Coandă International Airport directly to Gara de Nord, everything is lining up. Romania’s public transport is already one of the best in the region, and this new metro line proves it—we’re ready for something big.
We’re ready for Formula 1.
The global motorsport industry is growing, worth nearly 5 billion USD just a few years ago. Bringing F1 or any major motorsport series to Romania would mean more than exciting weekends—it would mean jobs, tourism, progress. It would mean new hotels, better infrastructure, stronger communities, and a place for young dreamers to believe that maybe, one day, they could go from the stands to the starting grid.
We are a country filled with heart. We are filled with talent, with determination, and with fans who stay up all night to watch qualifying, who know every team radio message by heart, who believe in racing like it’s a way of life.
All we need is a track to call our own.
To the Romanian government, to investors, to anyone who believes in potential—please hear us. The motorsport community is growing, and Romania deserves to be part of that story. Let’s build something incredible. Let’s give the next generation something to race toward.
Let’s bring Formula 1 to Romania—and give this dream a home.
