Hi, I am Kathy Deets, previous owner of The Barker Shop for 19 years. Recently I learned of a possible opportunity for a Dog Park at Spring Rock Park in Western Springs, Illinois. I would love to show board members in Western Springs how many dog lovers are in favor of having space like this available to them.

Since the start of Covid the pet population has exploded. Dog boarding, daycare, training, vetting and grooming are full, we can't get in and give our dogs what they need. For energetic dogs, staying at home is a frustrating, and even dangerous situation. Dogs need enough places to go and use their energy in a positive manner. Having an outdoor space for exercise and socializing dogs can make our pets happier, easier to manage and better behaved.

Sometimes dog parks get a bad rap, because of uneducated owners. That's why I became involved, I am offering my 19 years of dogs experience to make this a successful project and make Western Springs the best it can be. Please show your support for a dog park at Spring Rock. Let's at least get this project off the ground for our furry friends. Please sign our petition to show your support for a Dog Park at Spring Rock Park. And I will be encouraged to put 200% effort into making this work.
