Wales is an underdeveloped nation For years, I've experienced the challenges and frustrations faced by those trying to travel directly between North and South Wales. The current routes push travellers into England and bypassing Birmingham, creating unnecessary detours and complicating what should be a straightforward journey. A direct motorway linking the north and south of Wales is not only feasible but essential for improving connectivity within our own country.

Such a motorway would dramatically reduce travel time, simplify transportation logistics, and benefit both the local communities and visitors by boosting tourism and business opportunities. Imagine a scenic drive, running along the beautiful west Welsh coast, through places like Aberystwyth. Instead of losing time and resources traipsing through England, we would be able to enjoy the unique beauty of our homeland, while getting to our destination more efficiently and make Wales more developed.

This initiative isn't just a convenience; it's a necessity. Investing in a direct route would lead to economic growth, make commutes easier, and unite the people of Wales, forging stronger bonds and shared thriving opportunities in the process. The environmental impact could be minimized by utilizing modern, sustainable technologies that protect our treasured landscape.

The construction of this motorway represents progress, unity, and respect for the unique needs of Wales's population. We deserve a transport infrastructure that reflects and supports our autonomy. Let's come together to make this vision a reality.

I invite everyone who shares this vision and recognizes the need for a direct transport link that honours our country’s connectivity, culture, and potential to sign this petition. Together, we can urge our government to take action and prioritize the development of this essential project, bringing North and South Wales closer than ever before.
