So many people, like myself, are frustrated by the lack of accessible sports facilities in Bloxham Vale. The nearest football court worth using is all the way in Longford Park, and not everyone has the time to drive there just to enjoy a bit of sport. It’s unfair and inconvenient, especially for families and busy individuals who want to stay active right here in our community.

The only somewhat nearby option is a run-down court on Browning Road. But let's be honest—it's barely usable. With a bumpy surface and a lone, unsupported goal that sends the ball flying the wrong way when you take a shot, it's a disappointment. Why should Bloxham Vale residents settle for a substandard facility when it comes to pursuing healthy, active lifestyles?

There’s an opportunity for a solution right in our backyard. There’s a patch of land next to the plant area that looks neglected and abandoned. Why not utilize this space to build a state-of-the-art sports facility combining a football and basketball court? It would bring immense benefit to our community, providing a safe, reliable, and motivating environment for sports enthusiasts of all ages.

Given that regular physical activity is linked to improved physical health, mental well-being, and social bonds, having a proper court right here in Bloxham Vale could dramatically enrich our community. In fact, studies show that communities with easy access to sporting facilities often report increased community engagement and reduced crime rates.
