Build a Bremerton Pump Track

Build a Bremerton Pump Track
The Issue
My son is passionate about bike riding. It brings him joy, develops his skills, and helps him socialize. However, Bremerton currently lacks a safe and accessible place where he and fellow riders can pursue this wholesome activity. I believe building a pump track in a city park can address this. A pump track - a continuous loop of berms and mounds - could provide an accessible venue for cyclists of all ages and skill levels. Asphalt tracks are perfect for our weather here in the PNW, and are rideable year round.
In cities where pump tracks have been built, they have proven incredibly popular and beneficial to the community. Recently, Port Angeles built an asphalt pump track that has quickly become a regional highlight. They not only offer a healthy recreational activity but also spur economic activity by attracting visitors from outside the immediate area.
Creating a pump track right here in Bremerton could result in similar benefits. In addition to providing a safe place for our kids (and ourselves) to ride, it would create a positive social space that benefits the entire community. Please support our push for the establishment of a pump track in a Bremerton city park. Your signature could pave the way for a healthier, happier, and more vibrant community here in Bremerton, WA.
