I have been a fan and collector of My Little Pony merchandise since 2012.  One of my favourite pieces of merchandise to collect is plush toys.

When Build a Bear released their first wave of MLP plushes back in 2013, I was ecstatic.  I went and built one, and was impressed by the quality, durability and detail on the toy.  I hoped Build a Bear would release more characters in the future, and lo and behold, they did.

Fast forward to 2015, and 14 buildable plush ponies later, Build a Bear decides to retire the MLP line.  As a fan and collector, this irritated me.  There were a LOT of characters they could have made in Build a Bear form, in particular fan favourites such as Octavia Melody and Lyra Heartstrings.  In the line's 2 year run, Build a Bear only produced ONE male pony, knowing full well that there are other male ponies in the show's cast and that the show has male fans too who might be too embarrassed to buy a "girly" pony (I'm not just talking about bronies here - the show's creator, Lauren Faust, stated that the show was for anyone and everyone).

Build a Bear Workshop - PLEASE continue the My Little Pony line and produce more fan favourite plush characters.
