The city of Maricopa is in dire need of a City Animal Shelter! Maricopa is quickly growing with now a population of 58,424! This is a ongoing issue with little to no help in the city of Maricopa except for rescues and citizens who try to help as much as they can. The county shelter is an hour away and makes it harder for people to be reunited with lost animals or to help animals in need! On the daily there’s dozens of animals posted without a home or needing assistance. By have a city shelter it would help the members of Maricopa have an option for safely surrendering animals and adopting. The population of Maricopa is only going to keep growing which means more animals and more needs.
