Neighborhoods, homeowners and residents throughout Buffalo are finding mature trees on their streets cut down, leaving unsightly, approx 6' to 10', stumps.  The trees are lost forever, whole streets are abruptly denuded of tree canopies.  Health outcomes, housing values, energy consumption, water run off, all are negatively impacted.  This petition asks the Buffalo Common Council to prohibit further tree cutting in Buffalo, while the Common Council publicly investigates "who and why" and implements, with public input, an appropriate tree cutting and reforeststion for the City of Buffalo.
