Rally Around Luxor Steak and Lobster in Restaurant Row

Rally Around Luxor Steak and Lobster in Restaurant Row

It has come to our attention that one of our landmark restaurants in Restaurant Row, The Luxor Steak and Lobster establishment has not had their liquor license renewed and we the people stand against those responsible for this unfair and unjust ruling.
We were shocked when we found out first hand that their business was denied a renewal of their liquor license this week. We knew this could be a possibility when it was first reported by Buffalo Business First on Jun 3, 2021 https://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/news/2021/06/03/liquor-license-new-york-restaurants-bars.html
Now that this is a reality, the negative impact on their reputation can not be measured and large groups of dinner parties have already had to find alternatives for places to dine which results in $1,000's of dollars in business.
This petition is our way to support one of the regions most celebrated and well supported Black couple owned businesses.
Here are some write up that Luxor Steak & Lobster has already received.

We are operating independently, as concerned members of the community and we are asking for your help in showing your support for the Luxor Steak and Luxor Restaurant.
The timing of this decision only magnifies the repercussions that Luxor is experiencing right now. The pandemic has made running a business extremely difficult, this proven by the closing of two other landmark restaurants on Main St.
Two Buffalo restaurants latest to close due to pandemic
Luxor restaurant has quickly become the go to place where couples celebrate wedding anniversaries, where high power deals are made and people from all over the region come to experience one of the best dinning environments in the area.
To hinder their customers the privilege and pleasure of having wine while fine dinning has immediately impacted their business which will hit the Luxor's employees the hardest.
This business is not only a place for memorable times and remarkable food, it is a place of employment and now peoples livelihoods are in jeopardy. This labor day weekend, lets please help us save their jobs make sure that Restaurant Row in the The University District continues to be the home of Black owned restaurant excellence!
Please CONTINUE to support Luxor Steak and Seafood EVEN more now and sign the petition to give your support that Luxor deserves to have its liquor license renewed and an apology should be issued to the owners for the loss of business and the damage to its reputation.
