As a result of our petition, and achieving over a thousand signatures (ALL THANKS TO YOU), we got a quick and thoughtful response from the President of the college, who showed us a step by step plan of action in order to address institutional racism at Bryn Mawr. Moreover, petitioners and alumni were invited to take part in the teach in the college is hosting addressing these issues. For those interested the teach in details are: The Undergraduate Dean's Office invites the Bryn Mawr community to attend a Teach-In on Race, Higher Education, Rights and Responsibilities. The panelists are all members of our community, and the presentations will address issues that speak to recent events on our campus. This is an opportunity to learn and think broadly about matters that impact all of us. We hope you’ll be able to attend. A Teach-In on Race, Higher Education, Rights and Responsibilities - November 18th, 7 to 9 pm, Thomas Great Hall History of the Confederate flag and its current repercussions in U.S. society and politics, Sharon Ullman, Professor of History and Director of Gender and Sexuality Studies Race and higher education, Monica Mercado, CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow and Director, The Albert M.
