The city of Bangalore is up in arms against the vandalising of our tree cover. The latest is a plan to chop down 2,244 trees to make way for a steel flyover that nobody really seems to want. And the first stage is to cut 112 trees on a road where a down ramp for the steel flyover will be installed. The BBMP has given citizens ten days to object. 

This is madness! Bangalore's green cover is disappearing and our environment and climate and health is being seriously jeopardised.
