We are making this petition to ban "RoundUp" pesticide in the state of Illinois. This will help protect the lives of insects, such as the monarch butterfly (state insect of Illinois), from the harsh chemicals used in this pesticides. Monarch butterflies are dying off because of the deadly pesticides that are killing native milkweed. Native milkweed is the main food source, habitat, and place where they lay their eggs. Without this plant, monarch butterflies would continue to die off. Their population has drastically decreased because pesticides, like "RoundUp". Therefore, we are asking you to do your part in helping the environment by signing this petition.
