A  gate on River Road in Kent has been approved in order to keep vehicles out of the area.  This will eliminate  access to the area for those of us who enjoy it and for the elderly who won't have access to the current parking area at the end to the Appalacian Trail.  This approval went through with no vote in the town of Kent.  It is imperative that we stop these kinds of over reaching decisions to further limit safe and easy access to our public lands.  This decision will also impact the ability of people to have access to boat launches on the Housatonic River.  Please sign my petition in order to preserve our rights to have access to this stretch of riverway and public land.  By signing this it is my goal that this area remain open for all to enjoy.
