End Animal Cruelty at Brown Alpert Medical School

The Issue

Brown University Alpert Medical School currently uses live pigs in their medical school training. According to an ongoing survey by the Physicians Committee, 94 percent of emergency medicine residencies exclusively use human-based simulations. The Lifespan Medical Simulation Center is affiliated with Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and the simulation center offers life-like human patient simulators that could replace the use of live animals in the emergency medicine residency. Stand with BARC (Brown Animal Rights Coalition) to end needless animal cruelty on Brown's campus.

We, the undersigned, demand that Brown University Alpert Medical School stop using live pigs in emergency medicine training, and replace this practice with simulations.
