In light of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Commission report, which cited numerous failures of leadership to adequately implement security measures and standard code red protocols, as well as failures to properly train administrators and school security personnel to respond to an active shooter threat, we petition for the immediate removal of Superintendent Robert Runcie. We believe that these failures are in part responsible for the death of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and that new leadership is vital to assure that the security of our students and school personnel will never be compromised again.
