Keep Joey Aiken In Greenville!!!

Keep Joey Aiken In Greenville!!!

The Issue

Brookshires made the decision to move the store manager, Joey Aiken after 20 years of service as store manager in Greenville, Texas to the Sulphur Springs location. This is a horrible decision, he is an incredible, hardworking man who deserves to stay in his community HE gives EVERYTHING to and lives in. Hunt County wants Joey Aiken in HUNT COUNTY!!! Make the right business and community decision and reverse this decision immediately!!!

The petition is almost to 2500 signatures and that alone speaks volumes! And the comments on it say everything there is to say about the kind of man Joey is and why he deserves to remain in Hunt County!

I do not accept the fluff response Brookshires gave because it is truly crap. A professional business with ANY kind of respect for people in general, especially those that dedicate decades of their life to YOU deserve better than being told 4 DAYS you’re outta here Friday and there’s nothing you can do about it and twist it to come by and wish someone well on their new opportunity HE wanted to take, when he wouldn’t WILLINGLY leave his Hunt County community that HE loves and is devoted to EVER! And it’s not a promotion in the least, if anything he is now losing money. I completely understand business blah blah this and that, but saying you routinely move store managers, 20 YEARS is NOT ROUTINELY and I would like to believe Human decency still exists and I firmly believe JOEY AIKEN deserves that every bit and stand by it! If there had been a plan and he was involved in it from the get go, that would be a whole different story.

Joey Aiken is an incredible manager and leader for Brookshire’s. He has served as Store Director with a servant’s heart for the Greenville community for more than 20 years and with BGC for more than 37 years. We are grateful that Joey is taking the opportunity to transfer to our newly remodeled Sulphur Springs store to extend his leadership to that store and community. As a part of our leadership and development program, Brookshire Grocery Company routinely transfers its store directors where opportunities arise to continue their career development while significantly contributing to business needs that develop in other communities. We know that Joey has had an incredible, lasting impact on the Greenville community, and this was a tough change to make. We are committed to being the premiere grocer in all communities we serve and that starts with our store leadership teams. Mike Dunn, who will now serve as Store Director of the Greenville store, will graciously pick up Joey’s legacy and work hard to serve the community. Mike is an incredible 27-year employee-partner who has served as Store Director since 2005 and was honored as Store Director of the Year in 2019. At BGC, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service in our stores and throughout the community. We are proud to have served the Greenville community for more than 62 years and we are committed to a long future ahead.
