Eco-Friendly Dog Waste Bag Dispenser Across Illinois
Eco-Friendly Dog Waste Bag Dispenser Across Illinois
My name is Cassidy Brown and my friends (Avery O'Shaughnessy, Connor Fouts, Daniel Arreola, Aiden Jakubiak) and I have Social Studies together. One day our class discussed the plastic pollution problem. That's when I had a jaw-dropping idea; what if we put biodegradable, eco-friendly, dog waste bags that dog walkers can pull out of a dispenser around their local park or trails? By doing this, we can help prevent plastic bags tumbling around our earth for hundreds of years. Since majority of those dog owners pick up their dog's poop with plastic bags, those bags end up in oceans, animals' systems from eating it, and all around our beaches from washing up onto the shore. Though the five of us are just 7th graders, we want to make a change to our town and hopefully spread the project across Illinois. Please help us achieve this goal by signing this petition and making a change to our community so the generations after us can have a healthy, clean, non-polluted lives.
