Broken Laws! Broken Bones! Stop the Annual "Sport" of Suffering!

The Issue

Every year England holds it's Grand National horse race in Aintree England.  Each year this grueling event inevitably causes the death of several beautiful horses as they try to jump "fences" and run until too exhausted to stand.

Since the year 2000, 33 horses have died from injuries sustained in this "sport".

Sign this petition to ask the RSPCA, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruetly to Animals, to redouble their efforts to look into ways to make the race safe for the horses.  If safety cannot be obtained then the race should be discontinued by the authority of the RSPCA.

Only 19 of the 40 horses that started the race finished it.

The above photo catches racehorse Dooneys Gate moments before falling, breaking his spine and ending his life.
