12,438!!

It seems like it has been years since we started this petition. I remember when we started it, I didn't think that we would have as many signatures as we do right now. We did a news interview with a T.V. station in Lake Charles shortly after we began the petition. At that time, I wasn't sure that we would even get more than 1,000 signatures. To date, we have 12,438 signatures. We have, once again, reached out to Representative Stephen Dwight. We have a call scheduled with him this Friday. We are hoping to get an update on the filing status of this bill. I believe that the bill needs to be file by either February or March. (I am unsure of the exact dates). Once we speak to Mr. Dwight, we will update everyone. As always, we are so thankful for each and everyone of you. Without your signatures and support, this petition would have been as successful as it has been. We are still gathering signatures and need all of the support that we can get. I feel good about the direction that we have taken and the momentum that this petition has gathered. Our hope is that this bill will be presented and we are able to testify in support of it.
