First of all let me start by thanking all those that have given their support, signed the petition and shared with relevant friends and family. Currently the petition is just short of 7,500 supporters, it's clearly a popular topic. It got coverage in virtually all the English language news in Portugal both online and in print. It even made it onto the front page of last week's The Portugal News:

I'm in contact with senior people within Brittany Ferries and so far the campaign is being warmly received. I shall be travelling back to the UK via Bilbao (unfortunately not Porto at this stage!) next week for a week. I am hoping that on the return sailing I am asked what my final destination will be, that would be a sure sign they are taking it seriously and considering it.
