In the last decades within our clubs there have been a high number of incidents ranging from sexual harassment to sexual assault. The way in which these have been dealt with, within the club system is shocking. Most cases result in the victims having to leave the club and the perpetuators are allowed to stay. Rowing is about respect, dedication and teamwork. With these traits we should fight for creating a safe environment for everyone. Misconduct should not be tolerated, not matter if you are in the top boat or the bottom boat. 

All rowing clubs should have to sign a zero tolerance for sexual misconduct, to stop this kind of treatment and move our sport into the 21st century.
