Alan Brown started this petition to British government and

Since September the Australian bush has been ravaged by wild fires due to the extreme high temperatures and winds.

Some 5 million hectares of land has now been completely destroyed not only in the bush areas, but also now in more rural populated areas.
This has resulted in hundreds of peoples family homes been burnt to the ground, leaving them with nothing.
Australian residents are now becoming refugees in their own country due to this devastation and the fires are only expanding more and more, day by day due to high winds blowing the flames further afield.

My Wife has distant family living in Australia and hears of their daily stories, of having to wear face masks throughout the day/night due to the intense smoke and fumes. Of constantly being fixed to the tv to check the weather reports to see if the nearest fires are heading their way.

The Australian people need ours and other countries help, because they are struggling to manage these fires with what resources they have.

We need to send them some of our resources, more man/woman power on the ground. Additional firefighting equipment such as water dowsing helicopters/planes, fire engines and even additional hoses.

Our Australian cousins need our help NOW!!

Please sign this petition to help urge the British Government to take action NOW, before many more people and native animals have to die unnecessarily  and families lose their homes and livelihoods.
