Maritime Award for the #CHENNAI6

On Thursday the 20th of April Lisa Dunn who's brother Nick Dunn is one of the Chennai 6 traveled to Liverpool along with Jordan Wylie to collect The Propeller Clubs "Maritime Personality of the Year" award on behalf of our incredible, brave and inspirational men - The Chennai 6 The Propeller Club Liverpool awarded its first ever “Maritime Personality of the Year” to our men. Words cannot describe how proud and grateful we are of this prestigious award. Our men were recognised by Propeller Club Liverpool for their endurance and bravery in the face of their controversial convictions. Their hope is to show our men and their families that their fellow professionals in the shipping industry recognise the sacrifice and bravery of our men and the injustice they are suffering. The men are all heroes in our eyes, but to see them being recognized and awarded publicly as heroes is just incredible. I think its safe to say this award has lifted everyones spirits at a time when we are stuck in limbo awaiting a verdict from the courts on the appeal. Lisa done the men and all the families so proud. She accepted the award on their behalf and gave a speech so powerful it would have warmed even the coldest of hearts. We hope that through receiving this award greater awareness of the mens plight and the extent of this enormous miscarriage of justice will be shown. Jordan Wylie has been a massive asset to our campaign to free the men, he uses every opportunity in both his professional life and personal life to raise awareness of the Chennai 6, and will soon travel to Chennai to run the Chennai 10K raising vital funds for the men and families as well as the much needed awareness in both the UK and India.
