The selection of Matt Bergin and Michael Callegari for the U23 Euro Champs

The selection of Matt Bergin and Michael Callegari for the U23 Euro Champs
The Issue
Many people are of the opinion, that both Matt and Michael have both been hard done by in not being selected for the Euro U23 championships. Not only have both athletes ran well within the standard set, by British Athletics themselves, they have both shown consistent form throughout the season. Not only this but both are ranked highly in Europe, and in a distance event anything can happen, which makes the decision not to select them completely absurd.
I hope that the significant amount of uproar on this controversial decision will urge people to sign this petition, which will hopefully lead to British Athletics selecting both Matt and Michael for these Championships. Both athletes deserve the opportunity to run at these champs, and in particular for Matt, who has been very unlucky in the past not to receive a vest, the chance to gain some deserved international experience.
