Dear Friends, I would like to invite you all to the premiere of a three day multimedia education event in Germany called „Wilde Delfine“ (Wild Dolphins) run by The Dolphin’s Voice (TDV). The event will take place in Frankfurt am Main from the 28th – 30th of September 2017 and will educate children and adults about the different cultures and lives of dolphins and whales, which threats they face in the wild (and in captivity!), as well as topics such as climate change, environmental pollution and environmental/animal protection. We will offer kids workshops where ocean trash is turned into art, multiple screenings of movies like Blackfish, The Cove, Racing Extinction (etc.), and talks/presentations by scientists and volunteers about all manner of ocean related topics. You can find our current programme here: http://dlp.vc/l1Ak As a volunteer and event coordinator with TDV, I plan to give my first talk on non-human personhood and spread the news about the suffering of orcas in captivity and British Airways’ links to SeaWorld further to our German audience.
