Dear Friends, Many of you have seen the video about Morgan stranding herself on a stage at Loro Parque for almost 10 minutes. Another video emerged showing the same behaviour back in February to escape a pool Keto was kept in. SeaWorld's response to the video was that this behaviour is "natural" as wild orcas do also beach themselves and because captive orcas slide out all the time. Here's the Head of Animal Training, Kelly Flaherty Clark (the same woman who lied under oath in court about SeaWorld's and Loro Parque's affiliation), playing down the behaviour in a typical, corporate, scripted way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvTcNjyeKfU What Kelly doesn't seem to know is that only ONE population of wild orcas we know of is beaching themselves to hunt seals - the orcas in Patagonia. No other population known to us beaches itself and none to do it for minutes at a time. Also, Kelly seems to be unaware that there are no slide outs in the wild so what captive orcas do when they beach is different to what the Patagonian orcas do when they hunt. What an expert! Please share The Dodo article and the video of Morgan beaching herself to put SeaWorld under pressure. SeaWorld's stock crashed back to $16.20 per share and with enough public outrage over this it could get even worse! They are responsible for Morgan. They completely ignore what is happening to one of the animals they claimed ownership over abroad. That is utter negligence!!!
