Britax: Remove sexually objectified imagery from your website!
The Issue
Britax is repeating the same offensive mistake that landed NASA’s Matt Taylor in trouble in 2014. One of Britax’s website background is of an individual with a tattoo of a sexually objectified female comic book character icon. The image can be found on a "core beliefs" rotating banner at this url: https://us.britax.com/pages/overprotect/
Admittedly one has to have the width of the browser window extended to be able to view the whole image, but it did get me thinking. If society can roast a NASA scientist for wearing similar images of sexually objectified women on his shirt, why should we tolerate this imagery on a baby products website?
I don’t care if you make products that save children, your promotion of that tattoo is sexist and ostracizing. We must shame Britax into removing this banner and apologize for its actions! #ta2gate
