Vote of No Confidence for the Administration of Bristol Grade School

Vote of No Confidence for the Administration of Bristol Grade School
The Issue
We, the undersigned Parents of children who attend Bristol Grade School and community members who share our concerns, are hereby making a show of no confidence in the current District Administrator and Assistant Principal.
There is evidence that these administrators have been negligent in their handling of serious safety incidents on school property. They have failed to prioritize student safety and to effectively communicate with staff, the community and local law enforcement. Their actions and poor judgment have put all students at Bristol Grade School at risk.
In addition to safety and communication concerns, the District Administrator and Assistant Principal have exhibited poor decision making in the area of curriculum and scheduling. Most notably, they have made changes to the middle school curriculum that have led to overcrowded classes and less focus on core content. This has resulted in a chaotic schedule that has removed necessary time in the day for interventions for the most at risk students.
The district has seen a number of staff and leadership personnel leave unexpectedly, in addition to two School Board Members since the start of this school year, which is an obvious indicator of poor leadership.
Staff and community morale is low. This is unacceptable behavior, therefore, we are submitting this signed document as our show of no confidence.
