As you may be aware,St Ursula's NEU has been forced to take 5 additional days of strike action this half term as the school has refused to allow Mr Turpie to resume teaching as the Union requested. This is despite the school's case being adjourned due to a complete lack of evidence. The schools claim to have worked with the NEU and that they have attempted to "engage productively" is untrue as no effort has been made to engage at all with the Union nor its striking members. 

The Royal Borough of Greenwich have now appointed an external investigator and the NEU is working with them to resolve this case which has now been running for 6 months.

The cost to the education and welfare of students, Mr Turpie and his family has been unacceptable and should have been resolved in a matter of weeks.
The NEU reaffirm that strike action has not been taken lightly and all staff want to be in school teaching and supporting students.
