Lansing used to have a White Castle, but it was stuck on the south side in a bad location and didn't make it. I'm from Detroit — I know what a real White Castle looks like and what it means to a community. This isn't about the frozen ones from Meijer, this is about having an actual location where you can pull up late night and grab a sack of sliders. That experience doesn't exist in Lansing right now, and it should.

White Castle has a loyal fanbase and tons of students in mid-Michigan — we just don't have a location to show for it. The demand is real. Put one in Frandor, Waverly, or Eastwood where the traffic is, and it'll do just fine. It means jobs, it means people coming from surrounding areas (Mt. Pleasant, Flint, Grand Rapids) to spend money in Lansing, and it means residents don't have to make a 90 minute round trip just to satisfy a craving.
