Our animals need our help! In Connecticut, no animals can be prescribed any antibiotics, small sedatives, or any medication without being seen by a veterinarian. My story comes from a concerned and angry cat mom. My cat, Pixie was feral as a kitten and because of that is very skittish, scared, and has a lot of anxiety. I do my best to keep her anxiety low but issues do arise. Recently she started showing symptoms of a UTI. I called vets offices asking for help because I cannot get her to a vet. I have tried every trick and suggestion in the book and it’s impossible. The vets all told me “yeah not much you can do” so my poor animal just has to suffer and potentially develop other health issues from it? It isn’t fair to so many animals that need help. 

We need the help of other pet parents to allow veterinary telehealth. So many other pet parents are affected by this. So many animals can’t get to the vet for many reasons. 

We must advocate for our animals.
