Dear Mr. Bevacqua,

My understanding is that this tradition started in 1993, the night before the Florida State game. Over the years it found its home inside the Main Building, with trumpeters lining the rotunda under the Golden Dome. Since COVID it's been held outside by the Sacred Heart statue.

I'm grateful the band keeps it going, and I'm not here to complain. But every time I bring family or friends to a game, I want them to get the full experience. I want to experience trumpets under the dome and feel what everybody else feels and share that with people close to me. Everyone I've talked to says the sound inside that rotunda was something you can't get anywhere else.

I'm asking you to work with the band on a way to bring it back inside, even if that means timed entry, a lottery, or just a few indoor performances a season. Please help preserve a sound that no other place in college football has.

If you've stood under the Dome and heard those trumpets, please sign and share.

Go Irish,

Richard M
