The Issue

In June 2026, around 20,000 Scotland supporters — the Tartan Army — came to Miami for the World Cup and won the whole city over. They turned Bayfront Park and Ocean Drive into the best party of the tournament, and Miami fell in love.

When the party ended, the Tartan Army stayed behind and left Bayfront spotless — known as the best, friendliest fans of the tournament.

Boston has already made it official, signing a sister-city partnership with Glasgow and telling the fans to come back again and again. Miami — the city that loved them hardest — has done nothing yet. Let's change that.

We call on the City of Miami (Mayor Eileen Higgins), the City of Miami Beach (Mayor Steven Meiner), and Miami-Dade County (Mayor Daniella Levine Cava) to: (1) proclaim an official annual "Tartan Army Weekend" welcoming Scotland's supporters back to Miami every year; and (2) explore a Miami–Edinburgh sister-city friendship. Timing can be set with local partners.

Sign to bring the Tartan Army back to Miami. No Scotland, no party.
