Even though there are mixed feelings towards the Peter Jackson adaptations of Tolkien’s work, his ability to bring the universe to life and adapt the writings for screen is unequalled. 

Although Amazon’s “Rings of Power” is not nearly as horrid as some people online would have you believe, it is fair to say we were expecting things to line up with Jackson’s style and work; in terms of cinematography, character development and relationships, canon vs interpretation, and so forth. 

This petition hopes to reach to the masses, both those of the literature and those of the adaptations. With enough of us hopefully the Tolkien estate will understand we do not condemn, and can let bygones be bygones. It was Jackson who brought new audiences from all over for the last two decades into Tolkiens universe. Hopefully if this comes to fruition, Amazon can once again open communication with Jackson.
