Just recently came the announcement that Yokai Watch 2 would be getting remade the Switch 2, which be titled Yokai Watch 2: Haunted Domain, why it's called such is to go with how the subtitle has HD as it's initials. Odd though one might find it that the second Yokai Watch game would get remade without also doing so with the first game in the series, well it just so happens that it did get remade for the Switch 1, albeit only in Japan. Let's hope that if all does well with this Yokai Watch 2 remake, it would not only mean that the series' tie in anime will maybe get to be revived, but also that the first game's Yokai Watch remake could possibly be localised and re-released for the Switch 2 somewhere down the line, to which point it can also have a subtitle with the HD initials.
