To the teams at Sony PlayStation, Atari, and The Tetris Company:

I have played countless puzzle games over the years, and I can honestly say that I haven't found a single Tetris game that comes anywhere close to The Next Tetris (originally released on the PS1 and played by millions on the PS2). It is a crime that this absolute masterpiece is trapped on legacy hardware!

The Next Tetris wasn't just another puzzle game—it had crazy, unique mechanics that made multiplayer sessions completely hilarious and incredibly fun. We need the modern gaming world to experience:

Multiminos & Cascades: Pieces split into multiple colors, fracturing apart upon landing. Blocks fell freely into open gaps, triggering massive chain reactions that kept the board moving.

The Chaos of Multiplayer Attacks: Scoring a big line-clear didn't just send garbage blocks; it launched physical attacks on your friend's screen. The opponent's entire board would tilt, spin wildly on its axis, and flash white to completely blind them while throwing their blocks everywhere.

Sony has been doing an amazing job bringing retro titles like Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon and a lot of others to the PS Plus Classics Catalog on PS5, complete with trophy support and upscaling. We are asking the rights holders to partner up and bring The Next Tetris to the modern PlayStation Store so a new generation can experience the most frantic, enjoyable multiplayer puzzle game ever made.

I remember playing this game all the time with my father, this was the only multiplayer game we had at the time, and the countless hours of laughing and playing will never be forgotten. But my father passed away and as soon as I finally remembered what this game was called I immediately cried! I would love to play this game with my kids!!
