Recently, the higher powers at the RE-1 school district have not been fulfilling their commitments to the betterment of students and retention of teachers. We have witnessed yet another change in leadership with the sudden removal of the principal and multiple staff members. The student body is upset with the mistreatment of teachers and school administration, which has created instability in the learning environment at Montezuma-Cortez High School. For the sake of our remaining teachers, staff, fellow and upcoming students, we call upon you to please sign this petition for the immediate resignation of Tom Burris.
