Siena College, home of the Siena Saints, is a private Franciscan school in Upstate New York. Siena College’s current logo is classic and has represented the college for many, many years. It is well-known throughout the country. Current Siena students and its alumni have many attachments to the current logo. The outrage is tremendous and many are asking if this is a joke as the current logo is more of a mature college logo than the new proposed logo. The new logo is not fitting for a college rather it represents an elementary school. It represents great times and many memories they had and still have at Siena. Changing the current logo may lose most of the character that embodies Siena College! Siena’s student-athletes should be proud to wear their school’s logo. As voiced by various athletes, many are embarrassed to wear their team’s apparel. This is going to hurt many students’ morale. This could also deteriorate many future signings with athletes as they can be embarrassed to wear our school's colors just as our current athletes have already voiced. The new logo does not even resemble our beloved mascot Baloo. Various students and student-athletes have voiced their dislike and negative opinion on the new logo. Many are concerned that the logo does not even look like a Saint Bernard or that the graphic designer has never seen a Saint Bernard before.

There is no reason to change the logo, people identify the logo as Siena and frankly why fix something that is not broken. Please help us to maintain Siena’s current logo and the memories we have attached to it.
