Samson is a beautiful and respected stallion from Nevada, known and loved by the local community -- and recognized internationally among the tens of thousands of people who keep up with him and his fellow Fish Springs horses on Facebook.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, Samson, his brother Jet, and four generations of mares -- Old Momma, her daughter Apple, Apple's daughter Dumplin' and Duplin's baby Sam -- were lured into a trap set up by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and captured. 

While we were enjoying the holiday with our families, Samson and his family were loaded onto a trailer and shipped to BLM holding pens near Reno. They could soon be separated and sold off to the highest bidder. 

We know Samson and his family belong together and they deserve to be free. That’s why we’re organizing a national petition drive to convince the BLM to keep them together and return them to the wild. Please join us.
