I'd like to take a moment to share a little reflection about this petition.
I've noticed an increase in people asking Radio Company to play shows in Europe and not only in Europe, but in the US, Australia, and elsewhere. These requests existed long before this petition, of course, but lately they seem to have become more frequent.
I've also noticed more and more people responding by saying that fans should stop asking, because Jensen and Steve are already too busy and these requests are only putting more pressure on them. Some even go as far as saying that the band will never tour and that people should simply stop asking altogether.
I understand the concern.
Jensen and Steve have busy lives and schedules, and a tour or even a single date requires time, money and logistics. I think we all honestly know this. It kinda feels strange to even have to write it out loud.
But there's a difference between expressing interest and making demands.
This petition isn't asking for a concert tomorrow. It could be next year, in two years, or who knows when. It's simply a way to gather our voices in one place and show the band, and anyone in the industry who might help make it possible someday, that there is an audience here. An audience that is here for their MUSIC, as a BAND.
Ultimately, of course, the decision is theirs. They can say no. Not now. Or maybe "someday".
But I don't think other fans need to make that decision for them by telling people to stop expressing their interest altogether.
No pressure. No entitlement. No deadline.
Just: if someday the band can, we'd love to have them here.
