This petition begins with a heartfelt story, deeply personal and shared by many. We relied on President Rodrigo Duterte's leadership to erect a barrier against the endangering drug epidemic that threatened our country. Our trust was born out of his vision for a drug-free and safe society for us all. His actions exemplified true leadership as he undertook relentless efforts to combat drug trafficking and use.

Under Duterte's administration, from June 30, 2016, to November 30, 2018, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency reported that 5,104 drug personalities were killed in 115,435 anti-drug operations. Close to 170,000 were arrested and around 500,000 drug users and pushers surrendered to the authorities (source: Rappler, The Philippine Drug War). These staggering figures reflect not just the doggedness of his administration to uphold law and order but a testament to us as a people, striving for a safer future for our children.
