When I was 14, I made a joke that I loved Popeyes and that it was my favorite fast food restaurant. For some context on this, I have lived in North Dakota my whole life, and, if you are a North Dakota resident, you would know that anything good tends to stay out of our state as much as possible. This did not deter 14 year old Ari from making the joke constantly, to the point where people were believing me. When I was 17, in Fargo, was the first time I had ever actually tried Popeyes, and it was a completely mind changing experience. I could not believe what I was smelling as soon as I entered the restaurant, my mouth could not believe the flavors I was tasting as I ate my chicken tenders and mashed potatoes and gravy.

After that experience, I have had Popeyes two other times, once again in Fargo and another time at the Mall of America. I am now 18 years old, and go to college at VCSU, majoring in History. On days where I feel like I can no longer go on, whether it be caused by overwhelming stress of school work or my actual work, or the pressures of society weighing down on me, there is but one thing I know for a fact would help me (and maybe others, who knows) by raising my spirits. There is but one fast food chain I know for a fact would make me feel emotionally better at my lowest points, and that ladies and gentlemen, is Popeyes.

But alas, you may say there is no Popeyes in my local area (that being Valley City, ND) and so I must be feeling very low at all times. That is for the most part true, but I tend to find other ways to cope, but one cannot always cope with things like this. No, the thing I need to use to cope with my depression is Popeyes. I need Popeyes. The citizens of Valley City, North Dakota NEED Popeyes. Think about the poor souls who have never even tried Popeyes.

People who have found this change.org petition, whether by me talking about it or by randomly stumbling upon it, I urge you to please try to help me convince the city of Valley City, ND to invest their time and money into getting this grand beautiful city a Popeyes.
